Baggage Belt Fire at MCO

Excitement, airport delays and maybe some burnt undies after yesterday’s baggage belt fire in Terminal 2 of Orlando’s International Airport (MCO). This just hours after I departed out of this terminal and checked a bag for the first time in months.

The fire started at United Airline’s curbside check in area, according to this article. Neither article makes note of how many (if any) bags became ashes. Most important, no one was injured.

If you do ever check a bag, create a written inventory of what is packed inside just in case anything is lost or stolen (and now add ‘burned’ to this list).
