Save 50% at Howard Johnson Hotels on Orange Wednesday
Keeping with
their tradition, Howard Johnson is offering a 50% discount on reservations booked on the first Wednesday after Thanksgiving, what they call Orange Wednesday.
The offer is good only for the 40 or so participating hotels in the U.S. and Canada. Take a look at this page for a list of properties.
This is a great deal so no surprise, there are additional limitations. For example, only the first five who book rooms under this deal at each property will qualify. That means you have to act fast.
Stays must be completed by March 3, 2015, and there are blackout dates. There is also a limit of one reservation per person and it is good for only one room for up to three nights.
If you can work around these limits, this may be an inexpensive way to book some of your travel across the U.S. and Canada.
The downside is that you have to stay at a HoJo’s. They used to be great years ago but no so much anymore. I’d say out of the top 5 worst hotel/motels I’ve every stayed at they have 2 of those spots. I do know the properties vary greatly but even many of the new ones are run by poorly qualified managers and staff.
