Air New Zealand’s Fantastic Safety Video
Air New Zealand has a habit of creating interesting, fun airline safety videos, and their newest is no exception. They’ve partnered with Sports Illustrated to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their Swimsuit Edition and show off the beautiful Cook Islands.

To celebrate the new safety video, Air New Zealand is giving away 5 trips for 2 to the Cook Islands. Watch the video above and answer the multiple choice question here. Winners will be flown to Aitutaki and spend 5 nights at the Pacific Hotel. The contest ends on February 26th. And if you want to take a peak at the behind the scenes of Safety in Paradise, you can watch the video here.
I’ve always been a fan of entertaining safety videos. If we’re being required to watch something before take off, at least make it fun! The videos contain important information for travelers (seasoned road warriors could probably recite some from memory), and more people will pay attention when the safety videos are worth watching.
If you’re not familiar with Air New Zealand’s previous safety videos, here are some of my favorites:
Betty White — Safety Old School Style
An Unexpected Briefing
The Bear Essentials of Safety
Mile-high madness with Richard Simmons!
I would definitely like to see more airlines having fun with their safety videos. Which one is your favorite?
I hadn’t seen any of these prior to this post. What a great way to have some fun with safety videos!
