Top 50 Business Meeting Destinations – Which One is Your Fav?
With the improving economy, the number of business meetings, seminars, and trade shows are growing. As they do every year, event management firm Cvent assembles the top 50 destinations for business meetings. As in years past, there were some surprises and a shakeup in the Top 10.
The top ten cities were:
- Chicago
- Orlando
- Las Vegas
- Atlanta
- San Diego
- New York
- Dallas
- Washington, DC
- New Orleans
- Nashville
New to the Top 10 this year are New Orleans and Nashville, replacing Phoenix and Miami. The biggest gainer on the Top 50 list was St Louis and the biggest loser was National Harbor, MD.
While Orlando is always thought of as a tourist destination, it actually has one of the largest convention centers in the country. Indeed, they were last year’s #1 but slipped to second place this year. From a personal side, if my current hometown of Orlando has to fall in rank, at least it was to Chicago, my birthplace and forever in my heart. 🙂
